Need Help: Fish Extraction
« on: May 15, 2009, 02:15:54 am »

I'm trying to complete a challenge of getting a dwarf up to legendary in every skill, but I overlooked the requirements for moghoppers when generating the world and I don't have any on my map. What I'd like to do is see if I can mod my existing fortress (which limits what can be done) to enable fish extraction. I have a brook and pools that don't evaporate.

My hope was to mod an existing vermin to do this, but I'm not sure what is related to fish extraction. I have purring maggots, cave spiders in abundance, so those would be the easiest to trap and use. Alternatively, I have toads, turtles, lizards, but they are considerably harder to trap.

Any thoughts?

The moghoppers have three tags tied to their extract:
Code: [Select]
[EXTRACT:mog juice:2:0:1]
[EXTRACT_VALUE:50][EXTRACT_COOKABLE]
Just pasting those tags into any other vermin should work fine. You should backup your save first, just in case anything goes wrong.

I think it's a vastly amusing thought that elephants are so afraid of heights that when Dwarves invented the Z-axis, they couldn't bear to face dwarves in combat anymore.
