I am past the phase of frantic TVTropes reads. Mostly because I already read most of it.

It was a link by Frelock that got me started to look. Then I went to the Cloverfield pages. Eventual I found this book.

It's getting awesomer as I go on.

Chapter 39 now.

Any part involving a president is pretty much gold.

From what you lot have been saying this looks really good. But I absolutely detest reading mass stuff from the internet. I wish they'd get it published, I'd buy it book wise.

There's actually a very simple solution to this that has served me very well in the past.

Only browse TVTropes one tab at a time.

See, eventually you always hit a page that's uninteresting enough that you stop.  But if you have more tabs open, it doesn't save you at all.  Just one tab, and the first time you close it, it's done...

This has the unfortunate result of you not actually getting better at this.

Link works fine for me . . .

I just finished the last chapter. The ending loses a bit of steam, but it was still okay.

120mm High Explosive Anti Tank round (which makes a plasma jet that would go through several feet of steel).

It's not plasma.  (search for "plasma")

A tank probably wouldn't be firing HEAT nowadays anyway.

im something like halfway through this yaweh and satan decide to reinvade earth. it is really awesome, and if they sold it at the bookshops instead of posting it online i would actually read it. the white text on blue background makes it possible to actually read it for long periods without burning my eyes away as well. some of the awesomeness includes -

(no big plot spoilers but if you want lots of constant surprises then dont read)

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

the writer seems to know what he is on about, its much better then most of the military fiction ive read in terms of realism. that is, as realistic as a war between the forces of hell and the human race with yaweh and his angelic host sitting on the sidelines.

so yeah, read it.

also i read around half of war and peace in high school, and i knew i recognized inalucts damned hidden message from somewhere. better pick a more obscure work next time, dear benevolent leader of the penguins.
