Once we have perfect realism in video games, the trend ofcourse will shift to making games which are more and more abstract.

If it goes the way of cartoons then there will be a short period of artistic minimalism/abstraction followed by every company latching onto that idea simply because it saves money. From there we get a bunch of "Hanna-Barbera-esque" games for fifty years. The horror.

Remember when games could be about chefs riding mantises with pistols that fire velociraptors and it would be FUN and GOOD? Good times...

I'm also currently contemplating how to best go about an idea I got from someone drawing a picture of a dromaeosaur being badass...

(The artist provided additional badassery too, she liked the idea)
