How do I force my world generation to go to year 1050?

The easiest way would be to set the world Gen Parameters to only start checking megabeast populations at 1050.  If you want to have megabeasts around in 1050, then add a few zeroes onto the end of their size in the raws.  5 should do the trick, just remember to remove the zeroes after you gen the world.

Thanks for the quick response. One more question: How do you look at history? I see people talking about how a dragon ravaged some random human civilization and I don't know how they would find this out.
