3dwarf + smoothed obsidian = ???

As the final project for my big above ground fortress I thought I'd make a pilar of naturally formed obsidian that stretched from the bottom most dug out point to the top of the map. I figured I'd smooth and engrave it to record the great history of my fort, but when I go to take a nice peak at it in 3dwarf, this is what I get:



 :'(

(I tried searching the forums to see if this has been mentioned before, but couldn't find it mentioned anywhere... and I know 3dwarf doesn't seem to be updated anymore, so sad)

Good god. Do you have this fort uploaded to the DFMA? It looks HUGE.

lifevis doesnt like smoothed obsidian either, the texture becomes a purple question mark. Strange

nobody's ever asked for me to put out a save before, but ah here you go, knock yourself out:

I'm sure you can already tell, but I'll put it out there anyway, I'm playing with mayday's 40d (I know, mayday tileset makes saves incompatable with vanilla DF 'cause he changed a few things) and also uhm... edited in a few pet GCSs... cause I felt like it  ::)

The list of artifacts is insanely huge, the fort is almost 30 years old now. Also if you check out the graves, most of those coffins are full... lots of dwarven blood went into making Roofdwelling.

I'm still tinkering away at it, so I can't quite call it finished, but it's damn close.
