From a Notebook found in Bisekiden
« on: June 24, 2009, 08:48:30 pm »

Picture. It's rather big.

This world has been racked by Giants since day one, and the Kobolds fight them at every step. The poor village of Creamsglen has at least 34 recorded rampages.

Indeed, this is a world wracked with grief.

And I, Bembul Konnish, shall record our (Bisekiden) attempt to discover what lies beyond these dark mountains. Should we fail, I hope that the journal will fall into the hands of someone trustworthy, so that our discoveries may be made known.

1st Day - We broke ground, and started chopping up trees, gathering plants, and digging into the mountain. This may take a few weeks.

2nd Week - So far so good. Morale is up, construction underway. A scout noted rather gaunt looking mountain goats up on the mountain. May have to investigate.

END.

And so, my very first dwarf fortress ended in failure. Of course, Losing Is Fun, and at least I got a little bit done.
