Hi.

Annual NetHack tournament is starting shortly. Numerous poor adventurers will be lead to horrible deaths. (edit: started already, will run until end of november)

The official tournament announcement in RGRN can be read here using Google Groups. One thing missing from the announcement is that there's a semi-official IRC channel in Freenode, #devnull_nethack, and the tournament organizer also sits there. The official tournament site is at http://nethack.devnull.net/ and it has a countdown timer.

Are there any fellow Bay12ers who are going to play? Have you played in any earlier tournaments? I certainly will play in this tournament.

I'm currently stuck at work(no telnet or ssh), but as soon as I get home I'll be starting my first game of the tournament. I've played in it a few times over the years but I always forgot until a week before it ends. This year I'm all over it. Game On!
