Ahem.... my last post here has a little sumthin sumthin to do with this thread... and I must agree with spelguru  8P

ARG!!! I am going CRAZY!!! Every time I try to save my creature I am trying to create Armok gets an fatal error and shuts down with no explanation at all! Why is that? Am I doing something wrong when creating my creature? Does Armok hate me and won´t let me make it?

as i said before,tjhe manual is RALLY unfinished...you could see Toady manual tough...it has some info on editors.

I give up... I cannot even create a simple humaniod... Can someone please make a slightly larger human with black/green striped skin and instead of hands, big spikes? It should be quite durable and regenerate wounds fast. Only hits to the brain is easily deathbringing.

Can someone make this not to overpowered creature for me?

Where did you get stuck?  If you copy the human file to something like "biggreen.cre" then load that, you'll only need to take a few steps to get the creature done...

If you do one change at a time, you can figure out where it breaks down...

But yeah, the editors aren't very forgiving.  I have no time to fix them right now...

Not so forgiving!?!?!? The editors spanken my ### and then proceeded to slowly rip my skin off while laffing! Them editors are evil I tell ya! I am going to get a angry mob of ppl to destroy my computer so that the evil editors die!

But before I do that, I will try what you said...

I tried to make the creature out of the stock human... And the editor became slightly more forgiving... Didnt even crash when I saved the file... But when I created the universe, it crashed

... I swear, with God as my witness, that I am royally mad at the editors! This is what I did:

1. Change color of green dragon scales to black and save as new file.

2. Create new universe with new dragon included.

3. Look at the dragon while choosing race, it is black (success!!!).

4. Start playing with said black dragon... IT IS GREEN AGAIN!!!

*lets out a ragescream containing all the anger that could possibly exist in the universe... and then some more*

If you access the Tissue level of the dragon and look at Skin, at the bottom you'll see Solid Pattern Variation is set to 1, change it to None andit won't vary skin color.

I just tried it... and failed yet again... I have a simple question: Could someone please give me *EVERY* piece of information about: What all the different stats do in Material Editor, Every piece of information about Motifs, groupings and creatures?

If anyone would be willing to do this for me I would be eternally grateful.

Okay this is odd... my posts doesnt show up when I post them... weird...

try changing the color of dragon SKIN to black, that may have been what I did for hydras, I think.

Just figure it out like everyone else did...  Its not all that hard, just look through all the info and change all the colors to black except maybe the blood.
