skull mugs

skulls should be able to be made into mugs like the Vikings did

Maybe only creatable and usable by dwarfs with high combat skills plus crafting

I don't see what combat skills would have to do with anything, but this is a good idea.

Regarding combat skills, I was thinking about how Vikings supposedly made skull mugs out of the skulls of enemies they had killed in combat.

also might be weird for e.g. children dwarves to be drinking from skull mugs

But that doesn't mean they were firing arrows or using a battering ram to make the mug itself?  That's like saying you have to be a lumberjack to whittle on your front porch.

Seems like that would be an appropriate task for bonecarving. Not sure what the combat skills have to do with the process of making a skull mug, beyond killing things, of course.
