Author Topic: *FIXED* Civ/race & creature mod crash DF (40d)... where do I look for errors ?  (Read 524 times)

The only log I found is gamelog.txt..... but this is all it says :

*** STARTING NEW GAME ***
Generating world using parameter set MEDIUM
 Seed: 148791106
 History Seed: 2806172079
 Name Seed: 1279694239

Which doesn't really help much. When doing worldgen, it works until it's done doing hist.figs/dead/events. Then it crashes.
If I try to abort and the world as it is, in an earlier year, it crashes again.

Obviously this has something to do with my modding... what I'd like to know is if there is some kind of log available or a way to turn on a log feature to see what is exactly happening / where&why it crashed ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated !

Thanks.

You sure there isn't an errorlog.txt in the DF folder? What exactly have you changed?

Following other threads and the modding guide, I duplicated the human entry from creature and entity.
Then I move my new human entry to he top of the entity file, change it's adventure tier to 4 and renamed it PLAINS2.
I also change it's creature reference to the new one from the creature_standard file.

Aside from that, I made a few small changes to the creature, but relaly just changing values in the tokens.

And no, I don't have a errorlog.txt, which seems very odd.

Hmm... I tried removing objects, didn't help.

Then I tried it again in a new install of 40d and it worked...  wierd hmm ?
