Toady has stated the newest version will be released sometime this year.  I know he doesn't like that type of thing (setting release dates), but the progress so far makes it seem that the new version will come very soon.

I wonder what will happen, I'll be too busy stabbing Bronze Colossi with spears and watching the molten bronze melting me.

Somebody complained about the alts.  This is a really, really irritating situation.  I don't want to pick through all of their messages to see if somebody has actually been abusive.  Anyway, if you've got an alt, and it's impersonating somebody else in a context that's even remotely abusive or malicious, I will permanently ban your alt and your original account if I can root it out.  If you've got an alt of yourself and are messing with people, you'll probably be muted or sternly warned.

I'm not going to read through the messages right now, but please just keep this in mind.
