Being Interrupted Forever
« on: April 04, 2009, 08:31:01 pm »

I have a dwarf who's being interrupted over and over by a Goblin Bowman who isn't there. The dwarf won't move, starve, sleep, or anything. I removed his bed, he didn't move. I built a wall on his tile, he didn't move. He's interrupted hundreds of times a minute. I checked the log, and between two announcements, he'd been interrupted over 2000 times.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

This is a somewhat frequent occurrence, unfortunately.

If he's in a convenient location, you can try knocking him out with cave-in dust. That might work to jostle him out of canceled rest infinispam, though if his wounds are mortal, you might as well just kill him with the cave-in.

You can also deconstruct all beds. I wouldn't recommend this, but it might be necessary. This worked for me, but it took forever because the guy was slowing down my FPS to ridiculously low levels. When all the beds were gone, the guy dropped dead.

Ah, I found another solution. I removed the bed in his room and locked his door. He snapped out of it right away.
