Forges and smelters rethink
« on: April 03, 2009, 12:54:10 pm »

I think it would be better to just check if one particular tile of the building is hot enough to operate and do that instead of checking for magma, maybe have it check a tile below like it does for magma but check the heat. This allws you to use any heat source, caged fire imps, SoF, fire, hundreds of mirrors or whatever.

Hiddeous demons that can melt adamantine trapped by dwarven ingenuinity and used to power the forges used to make the weapons t slaughter it's kin.

I Like it. But it would need a few major advancements in the temperature system.
In other words: Would be cool but is probably too much work to be worth it.

Why would it require changes to temperature? It's already checked by individual tile, I believe.

I think it checks for magma (at least 4/7 magma is needed in one of the tiles)
