WORLDGEN Parameter: Season Extremity
« on: March 31, 2009, 07:41:04 am »

Hey there, odd that this isn't already an accessible parameter.

There's already a temperature swing between summer and winter, as there should be.
However, there's no option in the worldgen parameters to specify how severe this should be.
With such an option it would be possible to make an even greater variance in worlds.

This temperate, cold, freezing thing doesn't really work in itself. There's nothing between 3 month winter and permafrost and temperature doesn't even affect the fauna or flora. You can farm strawberries in snow and rhesus macaques prowl the gameworld equivalent of Moscow

Wow, Evolution sure is grand.

Strawberries that have been in the cold too long should become blue.
