You could easily destroy the world in Shadowrun 3e. Go into the Renraku Arcology, make it to Deus, cause Deus to trigger a meltdown in the nuclear reactors powering the Arc. World ends.

Only if the GM is running that kind of game.
When my GM ran a Deus game it went far differently (my character ended up dying to a space laser).

What other paper RPGs are there out there...
There is no chance of ending the world in Call of Cthulhu: there is no way you are beating elder gods to the punch. You could proverbially poke one in the eye and speed up the process though. Cthulhutech is a different story though. Crazy different.

In the Aberrant series I know for a fact you can break the universe. I've done it.

I'm not sure about Alternity though. I could barely beat my way through that system. Stick enough Tsa in a radioshack and I'm sure it will happen though.
