Choose my first megaproject!
« on: March 28, 2009, 10:18:22 pm »

Here's the front gate:

Now I want to do one of two things.
1:Two dorfs, which I already semi-started, but am not liking the looks of.
2:Two weapons stuck in the ground, swords maybe, or maybe some war hammers at an angle.

But I can't decide what to go with, halp. :D

A single giant stone dwarf, with Dragons in it's eyes and a Bronze Colossus holding one of the dwarfs feet up. The statue should ideally have a weapon, preferably a axe striking the earth.

Bonus points if you devise a system of making the dragons breathe fire easily with minimal loss.

Bonus Bonus points if the axe literally strikes the earth.

I am now imagining devising a cave in with a giant stone anvil.
I like this idea, but I like my other ideas better. :c

Damn you, now I need to make a giant stone anvil and have my dungeon master live in it.

Buck up friendo, we're all on the level here.
I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.

Build it off of one single support, collapse it when he's not looking.

Build a giant gaping maw of some ferocious animal as your entrance, to ward off goblins and traders alike. Like a particularly mean looking wolf, for example.

Naturally, bonus points for magma.

Magma = TEARS OF BLOOD!

Sadly, my magma pipe is on the other side of the map from my entrance, but I do have a magma trap with drawbridges over there, or I did, until I found out that bridges melt. :D

turn those two towers into the dwarf's feet, and have him hold a sword above his head in one hand with a dragon impaled upon it, leaving a gap between the blade and the dragon's innards for the magma to leak through.

hows about designing a series of mosaics in comic style that show the life and times of Urist Mcdilbert, but using dwarfish problems in place of office ones.

For example, im one there could be Urist Mcminer digging out a wall, with Mcdilbert talking to him or something, and when he leaves the wall is dug out and sexy magma devours the miner.

Just an idea though.

Bonus points if its in colour.
