In a magma channel I was working wiht, I set up a wooden door to stop Dwarfs from going down the shaft where Magma was coming, albeit very slowly. The shaft was finally finished and sealed off, and the door left in place with the thought that, as wood, it would burst into flames and allow the magma to continue to flow.... Well its been there for a few season and havnt shown a lick of flame!!

Thanks to amazing dwarf door technology, doors are indestructable.
Except by trolls. Those damn, damn trolls.

^^ The above is true but only if no dwarf ever opens it with lava behind it.  When lava enters the same square the door will burn.

It will never burn until some dwarf opens the door and allows magma into the space the door occupies.

Do you have temperature on? I've had wooden doors not survive adjacent encounters with magma, but there was also another fire nearby, so who can say.
