What?  Shouldn't make any difference, so long as you're running native BG2 and not ToB or Tutu.  Unless they're using some sort of weird fusion technology when installing expansion packs, you should be able to run the unexpanded game as it was.  Just make sure you've got the latest version of it.

From my experience, they do, in fact, use some sort of weird fusion technology. Or else simply hide the original files very well. As ToB gives you version 1.5.X, as opposed to (I think) 1.2.X, one cannot join an online game with the expansion.

Okay. Luckily, I have a old disc without ToB and I can install SoA without it.

It would appear that our usual host is a little preoccupied right now, so someone else is going to have to take up the mantle.  Or at least tell me how the frig I can get this thing to host a game other people can see.
