With the current domination of online multiplayer a lot of games are getting made with non-functional (too big maps, game modes designed for 16 players etc.) local multiplayer. A lot of games are getting made with no multiplayer at all. And with all the fun you can have over online multiplayer it's still not as much fun as playing in the same room as other humans.

This is why I ask the Bay 12 community, what do you think are the best local multiplayer games? I'll put a few to start it off.

Star wars Battlefront 1/2
Halo 2
Crimson Skies
Mario Party
Mario Kart (all of em)
Dynasty Warriors
Any Tron clone
Super Mario War
M.U.L.E
