Yeah, everyone ever that has complained about Vista are the people that still havent disabled the UAC (google it..). The UAC is there to prevent people from doing idiotic stuff with their computers, but everyone always presses "Allow" on everything anyways, so IMO the UAC is fail. Plus it makes programs have problems running properly after being abruptly halted during execution (which is why people think Vista sux).

I've been using Vista for almost a year now, without the UAC. No problems, no viruses, no bad stuff at all. Works just like, if not better than, Windows XP.

The only real problem I had up to now with Vista is that some cheap-ass manufacturers don't make 64-bit drivers for some hardware. But that's not vista, that's just the 64-bit part, so it would be the same for XP. Plus, it's not even M$'s fault; just lazy companies.

Note that if you do change the map size, I'm pretty sure Toady said it had to be a Power Of Two + 1.  So, 3x3, 5x5, 9x9, 17x17, 33x33, 65x65, 125x125, 257x257... extend out to 513x513, 1025x1025...

But beware and make sure you have the ram for it.
