How do I get food? cause when I ran out of starter food I went to the store to buy some and it was rotten so I went out to hunt some critters but found non just a bear and a couger, couger died easly but the bear ripped my nose off after a bit went back to town to see if he restocked but all that was left was some bones, left again came back and the bones where gone and the shop was empty, also I still have the bodys of the animals how do I get the meat off,or butcher?

And is there another way I can get food? checked 13 towns already and they all have nothing just empty shops and the other shops have stuff just no food, is this some bug I ran into and I have to renew the land?

You could always [T]ravel every time you get hungry. To my knowledge, adventurers can't butcher corpses for food. Yet.

No, they can't they can't do anything at the moment and they won't be able to for a long, long time.

There are food stores in big citys, otherwise you can eat evrything that once moved, but no does no longer...

Yeah, if you're starving, you can eat anything, even vomit.

Caves with semimegabeasts and abandoned forts tend to have lots of rubbish lying around. There is sometimes edible food too.
