So my dwarves were fighting snakemen and one of the swordsmen was paralyzed and injured. He was dragged off to bed, but he never went to rest. The paralyzation wore off and he just sat there, on the bed, feeling "drowsy."

I tried unenlisting him, re-enlisting him...didn't matter. Apparently he missed the golden "TURN DWARF TO RESTING DWARF" phase and he just sat there and slowly starved/dehydrated/groggified because he wouldn't (couldn't?) do anything. He couldn't eat or sleep or drink and eventually died on the bed.
