[40d] Game crashes on launch when run from a toolbar

When I attempt to launch Dwarf Fortress by clicking the executable via a toolbar added to the taskbar, I'm given the windowed/fullscreen prompt (regardless of the setting in init.txt) then another prompt saying that DFROOT/data/init is missing or corrupt and the game cannot run. If I open the directory in windows explorer then click the executable from there, however, everything runs perfectly. I am running windows XP.

Minor bug since there's such an easy workaround, but no bug should go undocumented.

i have always had mine in a tool bar... and its never crashed...

you are making a shortcut right?
not copying the actuall exe into it right?
