The map sharing thread
« on: March 07, 2009, 06:16:24 am »

A thread to share all awesome maps and stuff.
To start, mine.
So, I just embarked on a site, looked around, and noticed a few things, taking into account the embark map

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Now, I have magma, cave river, mountains, brook, HFS, a bit of forest, AND THE ENTIRE MAP HAS A SEDIMENTARY LAYER!
Let me put this in other words: THERE IS MAGMA AND THERE IS LOADS OF BAUXITE AND MAGNETITE ON THE SURFACE ALONE.
Once I get the DFFD working for me I'll upload the embark backup I made, the only thing the place doesn't have is populated botomless stuff (But you can get silk by blocking of the bottom end of the cave river.) and sand, other than that, you could build an above ground fort out of bauxite and flux and have enough left to coat your magma channels with if you're into that sort of thing.
