Alright so I like eclectic information, in fact its one of my favorite things to collect. So this tread is to archive the collected obscure information of the bay12 community. Post whatever you want, but do try to stay in the realm of objective and verifiable data rather then urban legend, myth, religion or conspiracy theories. Get to it.
Here's some of mine just off the top of my head.
1.Duck genitalia are impressively large, both on the male and female. The male organ is roughly 120% of the length of the body and the female's genitals have been described as "labyrinthine" and contain as much as 8 dead ends.

2.pigeons are the only bird capable of swallowing like us. All other birds must tilt their heads back to swallow.
3.Cargo cults are groups of indigenous locals which sprung up after WWII. They saw the americans and japanese bringing in massive amounts of goods during the war and after the war ended tried to entice the "gods" to give them the same sort of material wealth. They built crude runways and mock up radios, imitating the actions they saw the soldiers doing in hopes of bringing the planes and their cargo back.

4. Soviet scientists experimented with the revival of dead organisms and the transplantation of all sorts of tissue. In one experiment they transplanted a brain into the torso of another creature where it continued to live, apparently except from organ rejection, till they decided to end it. What that brain experienced, no one knows.
5. The arizona desert has several massive equilateral triangles carved into the ground. They are actually abandoned air force runways.
