Yeah it is an artifact.  That isn't the issue he is pointing out.

"rock bed" "weight: 1" Show that it lost its matgloss during creation.  I believe Toady would need a save from the moment the artifact began construction in order to diagnose it.

Did you do any modding with stones or gems?  Like adding or removing new stone types without generating a new world?

nope, I just let it ride. more interesting artifacts that way.

OH YEAH! and the bed was made out of 2 clear zircons. not sure if the guy used the chunk of andesite sitting in the workshop or not though that was left in there by the guy who was in there before Fikod (the mason) got the mood.

Doesn't the newest Mike Mayday's DF version have all the stones treated as economic so the player can more easily control which kind of stone is used?

most of them are able to be toggled as economic or non-economic, and I had mine set so that if it has no use whatsoever, it could be used, but if it had a use (like flux), then it was forbidden.
