a fort I made using a compact design that I wanted to share. It is 30 dwarfs strong and a couple of years in the making. (I don't really like having huge populations)

It looks a lot like the design I use in my forts (tower with rooms to the sides), except mine are underground.

It looks pretty good, but if your goal was to make it as compact as possible, you should probably had made it with one large barrack, and one single dump tile for stockpiles.

Still, the fact that it is mostly above-ground is pretty impressive by itself.
