The dog was easy. The satan was... not.

Yes.

Now I have to find this game and play it again. Curse you nostalgia.

EDIT: Oh. My bad. There was a link provided in the beginning.

Well if you remove the [MULTIPLE_LITTER_RARE] tag from dwarves I think they have like 2-4 children each time they give birth. And if you get enough mothers up on the pillars you can probably get a good waterfall going.

Thanks for pointing to this one. I'm glad there's still stories that can surprise me. Even if they are older then dirt.

I didn't know about the myth until that link. It made me see the game in a different perspective.

While it's nice to see an artsy game that doesn't think atari graphics and a semi-haunting soundtrack are an excuse to not have gameplay, I was disappointed.  I'll give it this:  Whoever made the obstacles is a genius, everything in the game is precisely calibrated to piss you off.  It's like the guy's in my head and keeping everything an inch past the limits of my ability or something

Oh, and this. Goddammit, this game was annoying. It's actually not an inch past my limits.. it's an inch within my limits and just when I'm about to give up (like with that dog and the satans and all those obstacles), I find a way through. If the game forced me to restart even two rooms back, I'd have closed it.

IMO, it's the music combined with the myth that made the game shine. I'm not going to be playing it again, though.

Made it through most of the game with a modicum of difficulty and annoyance.

Then I came to Megasatan, who was the one who finally made me say "Alright, screw this" and give in.  God damn, dude.

Can't really say what my opinion is.  It's late and my sound was turned off, so I didn't get the full experience.  I think the graphics are just fine, the gameplay simplistic but challenging, and the bosses complete dickwads.

The bosses weren't so tough, IMO. They have some kind of weakness and it gets easy from then on. It's the damn traps and stuff that get to me.

Am I the only person who actually found this game fairly easy?  Hell I died like three times on Cerberus and I didn't die a single time on Hades.

Most of my deaths were from stupid disappearing-platform impatience, or from critters that took multiple shots to kill (or that bat room).

I mean, I liked it a lot, and the difficulty was exactly right for a game like that...but, still.  In any case I approve of the death mechanics, they were perfect (one hit = restart the screen).

What I didn't get was

I pretty much agree on most points, but I had the most trouble with the guys that shoot you when you shoot them.

The snakes and harpies murdered me constantly. And I only died once on Cerberus, but then, I'd played the game before.

It's probably easy for platformer lovers. I don't think B12 particularly appeals to platformer fans, so we on average find it much harder than say, the TIGSource guys :P

Cerberus killed me like 20-30 times, before I found out his weakness.
