Color coded dwarves?
« on: March 01, 2009, 12:30:14 pm »

I recently installed this: http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=832

The idea was to get the graphics I wanted along with the current version of Dwarf Fortress. It also comes with three mods that I just figured I would delete, and I did so. However, after I started the game I found my dwarves were colored based on their professions, such as woodcutters being yellow, fisherdwarves being blue, ect. I assume this is because of one of the mods that came with the pack.

Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this?

I don't think there's a way to avoid color-coded dwarves... And btw, this sounds like a question for the modding board.

I have that on my totally unmodified version. I think it's coded into the game itself.

You could probably track it down in the code and alter the hex codes, though.

A tendon in the skull has been torn!
The Raven has been knocked unconcious!

Elves do it in trees. Humans do it in wooden structures. Dwarves? Dwarves do it underground. With magma.

I know that in unmodified versions, the dwarves are colored to differentiate them, but with this graphics set that's not supposed to happen.

raw\graphics\???\dorfs.bmp or whatever it's called. Color them yourself or copy paste the desired graphic on top of the rest
