Dwarves refuse to do any work outside of fortress.
« on: March 01, 2009, 10:25:30 am »

Randomly [ I think it was when fall began actually] all my dwarves decided to stop working outside. All of them are happy and they do do there jobs if it is inside the fort. I checked the standing orders and I still have dwarves allowed to go outside. They also refuse to recognize objects outside the fort, like I have a bunch of logs laying outside, but when I ask for something to be made of wood, it says there are no logs available.

Do they have a clear path to the outside of the fort, or are there raised bridges or forbidden doors?

The wiki is notoriously inaccurate on subjects at the cutting edge, frequently reflecting passing memes, folklore, or the word on the street instead of true dwarven science.

The door wasn't forbidden, but it says " door used by intruder, retake door to forbid it". Never had that happen before [ if u havent noticed i'm fairly new to the game, only been playing for a few weeks now].

EDIT: I simply removed the door, then put it back again, fixed the problem.
