Hi!

I am envious of you. Especially because I have witnessed an unsettling development in my current fortress.

I don't have goblins (their civs got extinct in world gen, but at least my mountain home liaison is a goblin :) :) :) ) but I do have active (but unknown) kobolds. Over the years 3/4 of the kobolds got uncovered by my cats at the edge of the map and got away. Not really a problem for me as I am not interested in exploiting their precious underwear so much.

However, in recent years, the kobolds have started getting violent towards my cats. Such incidents have become more and more common with cats receiving yellow wounds before the kobold retreats (one even murdered a poor little kitten; fortunately, one of my dwarves at least avenged the kitten with kobold legs flying up onto the top of the walls). I have to say I am a bit concerned about this as my dwarves are much more limited in their areas of activity, so my cats roam most of the time unprotected.

Actually, I thought cats in 3D had been toned down. I do remember some really nice cats fighting river creatures in 2D but I never saw anything comparable in 3D. So, at least you have given me hope.

staringcat has claimed your soul! he is now your pet.
Dwarves don't have souls. Obviously proctologyexamcatstaringcat is actually a freshly made hat for the dwarf too short to be captured in that photograph.

Step #1 for making a hat out of a random tunnelcat is to headbutt it really hard.
There are no other steps.

And now the thread is about starfish porn.
...originally read that as 'perpetual motion pants' and thought how could I have missed this??
