I've tried ZZT. I attempted to make a mini-Dwarf-Fortress game, but I couldn't place enough objects. Is it at all possible to remove the object limit?

ZZT?  Wow, that gives me Kroz flashbacks.

I used to make my own levels by hand with a hex editor in Kroz...

This graphical style really does remind me of ZZT / MegaZeux and related. His use of solid blocks of colors smoothly changing is a really nice effect that a few MegaZeux games I played, used extensively; such as Taoyarin.

Looks fun, but I need an FAQ for the controls I think.

Edit: Woo, this has great potential.

With all the variables and such you can mod, you could make quite the little game out of just this! You can add weapons and defensive things, enemies, skills too I think, and you can change the number of tournament levels, starting health, gold, even a few AI things. Hmmm...
