After playing for a little while all i can really say is how unfinished the game is. The only buildings players can actually make are houses. You cant even make furniture to put in them, they're more like mud huts anyway. I haven't gotten past the tutorial quests or seen a another player though so it could still be fun. It's like an unfinished Wurm. I actually like it a bit more though because its not fantasy.

Yeah the lack of buildable buildings was a bit meh for me too, can't really make a city if all you can build are huts and some outdoor appliances.

It felt a bit like a movie in which two stoners try to steal a military helicopter

Aren't there only like Variable size buildings and fortifications in wurm?  Only difference is there is furniture in wurm.

They can also be made of stone.  ::)

Not that it's much different, but I expected roma victor to have more than just a hut with no furniture.

This somehow made me feel like playing shadowbane again.

After reading the Roma Victor wiki i found out you can build guild halls too. They're big projects that allow you to build structures on the same board (I think a board is kinda like a 1kmX1km area, you could only build in certain areas before) and they let you claim wilderness areas and serve as legion barracks for wars and such.  So you can kinda make your own small cities, with only two kinds of buildings.

You can also hire npc labourers soldiers and merchants, which i thought was awesome. It makes it a lot faster and less boring to build things with an army of workers helping you. So it shouldn't be as boring as Wurm in that sense.

The low population is what's really holding back this game as far as i can tell.

I also saw a movie of some people building a temple.

But I still think it lacks features. Not to say that wurm has them, wurm has a bit more, but it also still lacks a lot of things and diversity.

Also you can build a guild hall which costs 25k Sesterces and upgraded with a temple afaik.

yeah, it's pretty much the same as Wurm except Roman instead of fantasy, which is why i actually like it a bit. Plus you only pay once, unlike Wurm.
