Hey id like to ask why when i was in a freezing climate, all of a sudden, summer comes, and all the ice melts, and kills most of my guys (i only had seven as i had just started)? I would aslo like to ask if this should be moved into bug reports.

Keep in mind that "freezing" does not necessarially mean "never melts".

Temperate climate would be around Toronto (Canada), Seattle (USA), Vancouver (Canada), Moscow (Russia).
Cold climate would be around Winnipeg (Canada), Edmonton (Canada), Irkutsk (Russia).
So, freezing is around Yellowknife (Canada, Northwest Territory) - extremely cold and very hard for independent community, but not 100% frozen.

In game terms, freezing means just that

Strangely enough, there's nothing between "snow in spring" and eternal winter
