Battle Damage
« on: May 01, 2002, 01:48:00 pm »

I looked at the encredibly detailed status screen and noticed that people have aortas in thier necks- WRONG! only carodid arteries.

Also- There are no ribs! How can I break ribs?  How can I puncture lungs with no ribs?

We need more cliche injuries

"You Bruise his ribs!"
"You Break his wrist!"
"You Break his ribs and puncture a lung!"
"You hit him in the face, he is knocked unconscience.  he has a brain hemoradge."
"You step on his wind-pipe and break it."
"He chokes on blood."
"The blood fills his skull squashing his brain."

I know about the aortas and vena covas and all that -- right now, it just strings large blood vessels between the heart and all of the centers (upper body, lower body, and head).  The blood vessels are just called aorta and vena cova now.  I can fix it up faster when I add editors.

You can puncture lungs with your knife!  I've been lazy about the ribs.  Horribly lazy...  That's what editors are for.  They make life easier.  Same goes for joints.

What game was it with the brain hemorrhages and bleeding out of the ears...  that was a long time ago...  I don't remember.  Compton?  I think that was it.  That game got nasty.  Hemmorhages are in the future pages actually, if I remember.  Euphemisms are too -- things like "black eyes" and "bloody noses" in place of more technical descriptions.
