Are Carved Fortifications Destroyable?
« on: January 28, 2009, 12:48:09 pm »

I'm wondering, before I make a murder room just under my base entrance where I'll station a half dozen marksdwarfs, if carved fortications can be destroyed by Building Destroyer?

For those who misunderstand, these arn't built fortifications. They are engraved ones.

I know rock is invincible, as is smoothed rock, then carved into fortifications. Are these destroyable or will they hold up against a Megabeast or Troll?

They will hold up but even a constructed fortification or wall should hold up as only buildings can be destroyed not constructions. At least as far as I've seen.

Good to know. Though I've had a Hydra destroy built walls before, though that was a few versions ago. I'll give it a shot.

I don't believe Constructions could ever be destroyed.  Maybe it just canceled the construction action in the first place.

Anyway, yes, carved fortifications are as invincible as natural walls themselves.
