Is it possible for biomes to change WHILE you are playing? Cause the savana i'm on is changing into a swamp. Hordes of bushes and dark green grass is growing where there was only light green grass there before. Its also refilling all the empty ponds that were on my map. They never fill, and it hasn't been raining, WHATS GOING ON?, the grass and swamp is spreading everywhere!

Are you sure it's not raining? Rain will turn dry grass into green grass, and will fill your ponds.

No rain in for most of winter, the stuff is, as the threads title says, "Spreading"

I've harvested all the trees and shrubs over a big chunk of land and it showed up as plains or something after that, when it was forest before, on the map.

But this is happening on its OWN, I did nothing to that area.

Whats even wierder is that it is raining now, but only on the swap terrain thats popping up. not a drop anywhere else

Nop, I think that biomes ain't changing, at least I've never seen that before.

I have definitly noticed that some biomes expand.  I remember having a fortess in  a mountain where the tree line moved a couple blocks.

I've seen human towns clear-cut the area around them in a large enough radius to be visible during worldgen. I'm guessing that a moving tree-line with a low drainage valley floor might combine to make a swamp grow.

 I've seen once lush wetland turn into a barren wastelands of brooks and dead grass.

 Mayhaps when you load a site, it starts with climate conditions set around the shown climate conditions(Temperate, dry, etc) and when you start playing, the 'real' condition start to creep in.

 We all know the climate information upon embark is inaccurate.

Climate's not the only thing that can change geography. Maybe a goblin army is sieging you by flooding the area you're on, damming a location down a nearby river.
