Reactions needs an overhaul in general (I've heard it's already getting some changes in the next version, and with lots of material changes going in there's some hope this is already happening - can't wait to see new reaction raws); lots of reactions should be able to accept anything made of a material. And economic material management would naturally be changed with it.
