mac foreman and dwarforeman

So I stumbled upon the mac foreman utility on the wiki and immediately downloaded it because there's little love for macs in the utility community. problem is every time i try to "load from DF" i get a "tool failed with exit code: 1" error message. the readme says that it operates a lot like the regular dwarforeman app does. Any ideas on what's going askew and how i may right it?
