Artifact materials
« on: December 23, 2006, 05:18:00 am »

i think that dwarf should NOT make copper artifact out of malachite. they should do this by taking bars (which is rare i think).

my suggestion is to allow dwarfs actually make something out of ore for example artifact malachite statue! I've read that humans actually DO jewelry out of malachite.

if YOU won't like that then please give a 10% chance to dwarfs who take malachite (and other things) twice to happen something like this:

this is copper mug. It is decorated with malachite

it would be nice if this would happen also with hematite and that thing that makes zink

... er, please?

I've seen images of malachite statues and objects, and it is fairly impressive.

FYI, copper oxidizes into green, but refined copper is redish-orange. This use of raw ores in crafts could definitely add a new depth to the dwarves that like colored objects.

Heh, this noble dwarf likes the color green and copper objects, huh?  :D
