Of all the people to have a strange mood
« on: January 07, 2009, 11:31:19 pm »

The humans just came to trade, and while discussing future trade arrangements with the expedition leader, the expedition leader became possessed! Now somebody else has to trade for my Dwarves...

If he had no appraisal skill then it's no big loss.
If he did then  :-\.
I remember when my leader got gored by a deer.
WAS THE LIAISON HERE FOR A FEW YEARS OR WHAT.

"Lead me to your leader."
"Sure, right this way, he's down in his tomb right now!"

I had something similar happen yesterday night. I got a fey mood message, but clicked it away without reading it. Turned out it was the first pick of my fortress (Expedition Leader/Trader/etc -> First Pick, Job Title: Representative... also the sheriff later on). Luckily all he does is trade and his nobility stuff, so it was no big deal. I waited until he pumped out a nice ring and everything went back to normal...

i didn't know nobles can have strange moods too.

turns out that after all the work we've done in the forums to construct the perfect noble-be-gone device has turned to junk!

well the above statement is true if you disregard mandates for ahhem (citing a previous experiment / hillarious fun) of soap bars  ;D

My human liason once died of a heart attack while waiting for my leader to heal up. There was much iron brought from the humans, as they soon turned into the fifth iron ore.

Heh. I once had my expedition leader also end up being the hunter. Things went well and fine for about a year (not many immigrants, dunno why), when the guild representative shows up. Of course, as soon as he goes to visit my leader, she's off wrestling a goat for no reason. Somehow they BOTH end up in a muddy pool, and I can't get someone over to dig an emergency ramp for them. So they both drowned, and the rep got pissed. First death in the fort, too.

In the same fort I had when the mayor was KO'd for a few years I learned how to make seige engines.

THATS ONE DEAD LIAISON! *Abandon*
