[40d] Wounded dwarves suffocate without a damaged lung/throat?
« on: December 29, 2008, 01:14:34 pm »

So yeah, I just had two hammerchampions die by suffocation while in bed resting from the siege's damages.

The first had only a broken spine. Nothing else. But he suffocated. And he was the best soldier in my fort with almost 200 kills of different types.

The second had nastier damage, can't remember exactly what but I think he had a mangled leg and a broken liver.

Are these supposed to cause suffocation? I only thought it came from damaged lungs or throats.

the first one probably had near-full body paralysis and thus couldn't breathe right.

Hmm.. that is possible, but it didn't say "paralyzed" on the wounds screen.. can a dwarf be like that even if it doesn't show it?
