In fact what creatures are these?

Creatures from a mod I attempted to undertake before peeking into the dev_now log and realizing the futility of starting one now.

They are walrus-men; the one on the left is a merchant, offering a dead fish.

That sounds like a pretty interesting way to make art, really (from the artist's standpoint, at the least). Take things you already have or are able to find, and make something totally different from them. Resourcefulness is fun.

You can also just take other people's ideas and give them a different veneer. This is known as the "Disney method"  :P
