I thought I'd share a story with you all about a conversation a friend and I had after English class today.

But first some back story: The teacher is new, the old teacher who we would have had instead left without an explanation. In the first two weeks of school we began reading articles from "Culture Jam" and learning about how evil consumerism and ads are.
Then we read a bunch of stuff about Native Americans and equality.
Then we read The Great Gatsby, ok...that's a bit normal for english class.
Now we're back to learning about how evil advertisements truly are and how the corporates are trying to control our minds and the likes.

So as we walk out of English class today, after having watched a movie about ads affecting pop culture, I turn to my friend with anything but LCS on my mind and crack a joke "Hey, wouldn't it be funny if {Teacher's Name} was part of some elite liberal terrorist organization or something and she was trying to convert us all to her cause?" he smiles and goes "Yeah, I've been thinking that."
And I reply "Yeah, she's probably like a sleeper or something...trying to convert more sleepers." and then it hit me.
