Extruding more than adamantine strands.

There are more metals that you can extrude into strands, like copper, gold, and iron.

We should be able to use these wires for more than metallic clothing, wires, wire cut traps, flails, crossbows, and other wafer/wire related objects.

Well, the material system and raws are getting a MASSIVE overhaul, according to the devlog. Some crazy shit's going to be happening.

I thought Adamantine was -extracted- as strands from the raw material, you know, like fibers from plants... Not extruded like being drawn into wires or such similar? All that aside, I don't see why not with proper raw modification (though, putting it to -use- is something else, we'll have to see next version's system)

If you want to 'extract' said ductile metal into strands, you need to extrude a little part, then pull the fucker through said small hole.

And that's how spiders make silk: excrete, extrude, place, and cut.

Really, though, some of the devlog stuff is insane. Alchemy shops, millstones, kitchens, farmer's workshops and tanneries are getting their reactions opened up in the RAWS, and material codexes are reset so that - for example - you can have a plant produce metal strands, powder a stone, or who-knows-what-else.
