As it's too dark to see down below, even with Dwarven eyes, Uther lights a torch and drops int into the darkness below.
The light falls down, illuminating the stairway until it hits the bottom, it's estimated that the hole is about two hundred feet deep.
There does not seem to be any immediate danger surrounding the torch.

Slowly go down the stairs in the following order: Uthen - Else - Olgar - Galgar. Be cautious, but not overly so. Observe walls on the way down.

Science is always important. But it needs more flaming cats. Can't we build bridge-based catapults and fling flaming cats at the dust and goo?

It's time for the ATHATH Death Counter to increase once more in celebration for the end of the world.

The Dwarves cautiously descends the staircase with Uther first, Else having her crossbow ready after,  Olgar and Galgar last.
Olgar seem to be holding a lit torch as well, so that they can take a closer look at the walls.
There are indeed pictures on the walls, however they all depicts people running away from something.
Suddenly Olgar trips but Galgar manages to hold him on the stairs.
The party eventually reaches the bottom, the torch on the floor is still alight
The dim light manages to illuminate a big of what seems like another large room.
Uther discerns the various directions almost immediately.
To the north, there seem to have been a collapse.
To the west is a large stone door.
To the east is another large door.
The south has a construction with four pillars in each corner and  one in the middle. There seem to be lots of crates and stuff lying around.
On the same end of that room is a large mural on the wall.

The walls consists of large smooth stone blocks.
The mural itself seem to depict people doing various labors and trade.
They do look like Dwarves, but no familiar symbols seem to be anywhere to determine what time this mural could be from.
Galgar Complains over the cold surroundings.
Else does not trust having the doors unguarded and begins patrolling between each door with Rendertooth.
Olgar asks when it's time to eat.

Go to the southern room. Look into crates, make sure that the place is secure and stop to eat (possibly lighting a fire from wooden crates or some flammable materials in them - using our own firewood now would be unwise, better just energetically move around).
