human and gobbo seiges..not getting worse

i offended the humans (intentionally) they seiged twice..havent heard from them since. i wanted them to seige a lot..this is a little disappointing. Is this normal?

the goblins now seige multiple times a year, but they only show up with 2-3 squads. In previous versions of df they sent more squads than that. Is this a change? or do i just need to be more patient?

as for the elves...i pissed them off and they dont even have the courtesy to ambush me.


so....i want more war!! is my situation typical here? or is there something i can do to generate a little more hatred?

in one of my fortresses (start at 200) i had sieges from year 204-208 and then a long pause until 216 then i got yearly sieges again. and bigger too

Sieges have been befuddling me ever since 40a.
They've changed a lot due to stuff actually happening in worldgen now.
I'm not entirely sure what all changed.
All I know is, changing them to reproduce quickly causes greater sieges.
With the Orc mod, basically glorified goblins with the above change and a lot of other changes = 16 orc siege in the first summer.
My strength was broken.

I'm having more or less the same problem as the OP.  In three straight .40 forts, I would get up to 80 gobbos for two sieges, and then it'd drop back to 2-3 squads for so long that I gave up on it.

hmm. well i guess i will look into the orc mod i keep hearing you talk about for my next fort. this one is tired anyway. Lets hope in the future there are more nasties about ;)
