[40d]Migrant dwarves assigned to the military freeze.

If you assign any migrant dwarf to the military before he moves any squares at all, he will simply freeze in place. It could potentially apply to immigrant soldiers as well. I didn't think to test it out with fortress/royal guards, and I already had enough trouble getting immigrants so I wasn't going to see if they would starve to death or wait until immigrant status came off.

It can be fixed by deactivating the dwarf, letting him move, and re-activating him. Unfortunatly, this can cause quite a few unhappy thoughts (quickly soothed by my engravings of goblins slaughtering dwarves, carp slaughtering dwarves, and the occasional one of a skeletal dragon scorching the bones of a named carp).

Could anybody else test to see if this was just a one time issue or if it is a real problem?

I've seen this happen with migrant soldiers, but in that case it seemed to be because they were on duty, which is still a bug.  Did you try just putting them off duty rather than deactivating them?

Err.... no, honestly. I always make them all recruits and then set them into their squads all at once later whenever I do a military wave (IE: It's a season before a quite likely human siege, hurry and get more crossbow fodde- I mean recruit more strong, able bodied dwarves!)
