Hyper-Reproducing Goblins
« on: November 02, 2008, 06:52:02 pm »

I took the [MULTIPLE_LITTER_RARE] tag off of Goblins and set the Child age to 2, down from 12.

Let's see what happens!

...Not that much, apparently.

Oh, my kingdom for a "delete thread" option.

Why not make demon leaders able to have children?

With one demon leader per civ, I highly doubt they'll ever get close enough to spore.

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.

I couldn't run it, and then the reviews started coming in about it being watered-down. Money saved.

And before this gets into a flame fight of any kind, let's get one thing straight: While Will Wright was the idea behind Spore, he was not the idea behind Spore as we know it.

Loud and clear.

Same kind of thing happened to Bioshock (at least for me). I was expecting a relatively deep RPG/FPS hybrid, but what I got instead was a linear FPS with a really good story... maybe it's a case of misleading hype.

I liked both Spore and Bioshock, but I'm a positive kind of guy.

Also... hm. Trying to figure out some way to have demon leaders that would reproduce.

Can't think of one off-hand. Given hard-coding. Shame. But it does seem an appropriate question with which to start off a flame-war.

make them local leaders too, they'll have at least one in the same town as the ruler.

I have a quick question along similiar lines.
What would happen if I put a fraction for the [child:]tag?
would this make things become adults per month if i set this to 1/12?

Spore, KotOR 2, Bioshock, Mass effect and other such games have been heavily watered down due to the publishers being money hogging pigs. They composed a simple formula. You can make two bad games in the time it takes you to make one good game. Two bad games make the same amount of money as good games.

Then we have the EA sports games. FIFA, Madden, NHL, Etc.

They are releasing the same game over and over again with slightly better graphics and a bit extra licensing.

out, demons of thread derailment, OUT!

how about making the pit demons reproduce with a 1 year growth period and multiple births.

Try it with spirits of fire and leave them locked in for 10 years!
