Seed Recovery

I have a problem. I accidentally dug a ditch opening my magma pool all over my fortress and it was in a location that I really liked. Does anyone know how to go back a few saves or even erase the existance of my fortress on the map so that i can start over?  I can even deal with just knowing the seed number. Can I find any of this in my Init files?

abadon and o to legend mode there you can get your seed.
